Feeling lost in your own story? Overwhelmed, stuck, and unsure what's next? We all have our own unique toolkits, filled with personal strengths and potential. Sometimes, we just need a little help sharpening the edges. When we tap into our inner resources, we gain a clearer understanding of who we are, what we value, and what we're capable of.
We're more resilient than we believe! The strengths-based approach reveals the promise in even the most difficult and painful narratives. But first, using a trauma-informed lens, I want to honor your story, giving it the time, space, and validation it needs before meaningful change can begin.
As both a Counseling and Art Therapy intern, I offer an invitation to integrate art-making into sessions to deeper process and make sense of our personal narratives. Through visualization, we can often tap into a part of ourselves that words alone cannot express, revealing our deepest truths and hidden strengths that we can draw from.
Please know that art-making during sessions is not required; it is just an expressive tool and resource available if wanted or needed. It can be facilitated at your comfort level or not used at all.
